Author guidelines

For authors

What the journal publishes, what a proposal needs to bring and how the evaluation runs.

What the journal publishes

Original articles, review articles, case reports, opinion pieces and policy proposals on the ethical questions of life, health, science and society.

Each text is peer reviewed double blind and accepted by the Board for an issue of the journal.

Before you start

  • Have the title, the abstract and the names and emails of all the authors to hand.
  • Prepare the title page with the authors’ details, which the form asks for as a separate file.
  • The manuscript goes as a PDF or DOCX, up to 20 MB, without names, affiliations or acknowledgements that identify the authors.
  • State where the proposal is meant for and its intended purpose.

Article template

The formatting rules and the article template are published on this page by the journal’s Board.

Publication ethics and conflicts of interest

On submission, the authors declare the originality of the text, the conflicts of interest or their absence and, where applicable, the approval of an ethics committee.
