Dignitas Infinita Debate Cycle
Coimbra, June 4th
Summary
It is with joy and a sense of mission that I participate in the “Dignitas Infinita” cycle in Coimbra, reflecting on the transformative role of education and ethical formation. In a time of rapid change, to educate is to form the whole person, starting from human dignity. Christian ethics does not repress, but liberates, guiding towards good, justice, and love. To educate is to sow hope and generate a culture of peace.

It is with great joy and a profound sense of mission that I join this assembly in the "Dignitas Infinita" debate series, here in Coimbra, to reflect together on such a central and current theme: education and ethical training as instruments of transformation.
In a world undergoing profound cultural, social, and technological changes, it is urgent that we ask ourselves again: why do we educate? And what kind of people are we forming? What is the role of ethics in this process?
